Nomination information and Form

Purpose

The Chestatee High School Athletic Hall Of Fame recognizes athletes who have brought recognition, honor and distinction to Chestatee High School through outstanding contributions to the athletic program.  The Hall of Fame also honors Coaches, Athletic Directors, and Principals who have shown many years of dedication to the young men and women in their charge. Lastly, the Hall of Fame may choose to honor extraordinary “at large” members of the community who have made a lasting impact on Chestatee athletics. 

Categories of Nomination

Former Athlete/Team: Individual athletes must be an alumnus of CHS who graduated in good standing a minimum of 5 years prior to their nomination.  Exception: Posthumous nominations may be made at any time. 

Guidelines for Selection:

  • Contributions to Chestatee’s Athletic Program

  • School, State, or National records

  • Honors & Awards

  • Athletic accomplishments after graduation

  • Community involvement

Former Coach, AD/Principal:

Must have coached at the varsity level or served as athletic director/principal at CHS for a minimum of 5 years.  Exception: Posthumous nominations may be made at any time. 

Guidelines for Selection:

  • Contributes to Chestatee’s Athletic Program

  • Success of teams in region & state competition

  • Honors & Awards

  • Length of affiliation with the athletic program

  • Community involvement

At Large Nomination:

Must be someone who has made a significant impact on the Chestatee High School Athletic Programs. 

Guidelines for Selection:

  • Significant contributions to Chestatee’s Athletic Programs

  • Length of affiliation with the athletic program

  • Community involvement

Nominations:

 

Nomination forms are accepted by the Athletic Director at any time; however, applications must be on file by June 30th in order to be considered for induction during the following fall.
